Our story
Humanize Audio started the way a lot of great tools begin: out of pure frustration.
We were not trying to build another AI audio tool. We were trying to publish audiobooks.
As a publisher, we understood what readers want - clean, engaging narration that feels natural and professional. But we also learned quickly that creating an audiobook that actually gets accepted by major platforms is a completely different challenge.
The Problem Nobody Talks About
At first, it seemed simple.
Write the manuscript. Turn it into audio. Upload it. Done.
But reality hit fast.
We would upload a project and wait. Then we would get a rejection.
Not because the book was bad - because the audio did not meet a technical requirement. One file was slightly off. A peak level did not match. There was a tiny noise floor issue. A pause was too long. The formatting was not right. The volume was not consistent.
So we fixed it.
Then we uploaded again.
And waited again.
And got rejected again.
Sometimes it was not even clear what the platform wanted us to change - just "does not meet requirements." We would re-edit, re-export, re-check, re-upload. Over and over.
Weeks became a month. Uploads became failures. Failures became frustration.
And the worst part?
Even when the narration sounded good, it still did not mean it would be accepted.
That is when we realized: the audiobook world is not just about good voice - it is about passing the gatekeepers.
The Breakthrough
We stopped asking, "How do we make good audio?"
And started asking:
"How do we make audio that is consistently accepted on every platform?"
So we built a process - one that does not rely on luck, and does not force publishers to become audio engineers.
We tested it relentlessly.
We produced books.
We got rejected.
We adjusted.
We got rejected again.
We adjusted again.
We documented the rules.
We learned what actually triggers rejections:
- Inconsistent loudness
- Noise floor problems
- Incorrect file structure
- Bad spacing and pacing
- Strange artifacts
- Inconsistent tone and clarity
- Poor mastering for spoken audio
And we built a system to solve them automatically, every single time.
What Humanize Audio Is Today
Humanize Audio is the result of that journey.
It is a tool made by publishers for publishers - built specifically to produce audiobook files that are:
- Clean
- Natural
- Professionally mastered
- And most importantly... accepted
Today, instead of weeks of exporting and guessing, it is simple:
You drop in a document. Humanize Audio does the rest.
It generates fully finished audio files that are ready to upload and publish - MP3 files formatted, mastered, and structured to meet real-world platform requirements.
No more endless re-uploads. No more failed checks. No more month-long cycles.
Just a smooth workflow from manuscript to audiobook.
Why We Built It
Because we know what it feels like to do everything right and still get rejected.
Because we know you are not trying to become an audio editor. You are trying to publish.
And because audiobooks should not be blocked by technical headaches when the story itself is already ready.
Humanize Audio exists to remove the friction, protect your time, and help you publish with confidence.
Where We're Going
We are still publishers at heart. That is why we obsess over quality, consistency, and platform acceptance.
Our mission is simple: make audiobook publishing fast, reliable, and professional for everyone - without the painful trial-and-error.
If you have ever spent days tweaking audio settings...
If you have ever uploaded, failed, fixed, and failed again...
If you have ever wished there was a way to just drop in a manuscript and get finished audiobook files...
That is exactly why Humanize Audio was built.
